Role Playing Rules
1. Use quotations when you're character is talking. It makes it much more easier to see when your character is talking and/or doing an action.
2. Role Play in Story Format, that means do not use an asterick (*) or anything else to mark when your character is doing an action. Story Format is most easy described if you were writing a book.
3. Try and keep things in third person. A lot of people write in third person and it is easier for the flow of the story line if it was all kept the same.Example of 1, 2, and 3: She smiled at him as she stated, "Hello," nodding slightly as she said, "Yes, I'm new here. Is it that obvious?" Bad: *I smile at him* Hello *I nod* Yes I'm new here. Is it that obvious?[/ul] 4. Keep moding limited - doing other character's, besides your own, actions for them. Everyone on this board are big boys and girls they can do their actions. You don't have to do that for them. So keep it limited, namely a little it allowed but don't go over board. And if the person you are role playing does not what you to do their character's actions, no matter how little you are doing, and they tell you so please respect their wish and cease it.
5. Try not to do one or two words post. It wastes a lot of space, expecially when you're the person replying. It's kind of disappointing to come back to a thread to find that the person you are Role Playing with replied and it's only a couple words long.
